During the procedure, a trained staff member will draw blood from your arm. This blood is then placed in a centrifuge, which separates the red blood cells from the plasma, concentrating the platelets to about four times their normal amount. The platelet-rich plasma is either applied topically or injected into the skin. PRP has been shown to help reduce dark circles under the eyes, restore natural facial volume, and aid in hair regrowth when injected into the scalp.

Pre-Care Instructions and Contraindications:

To ensure optimal results from your PRF treatment at HMA, begin hydrating well 72 hours before your appointment. Smoking may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

While PRF is generally effective, individual results can vary, which is why a thorough consultation is crucial. The nature of the procedure may necessitate multiple visits to achieve the desired outcome, or to assess if PRF is suitable for your specific condition. Typically, 3-4 treatment sessions are required, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, with final results becoming visible in 4-9 months.

Treatment Breakdown:

● You may take pain medication such as Tylenol if needed.
● A numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area.
● Approximately 13-52cc of whole blood will be drawn from your arm.
● The blood is then centrifuged to separate its components.
● Platelets, Leukocytes, and Mesenchymal stem cells are extracted and used for the procedure.
● The PRF liquid is transferred into a syringe and injected with a tiny needle.

For injections, bruising and swelling may occur, so plan to schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks before any events or vacations.

For microneedling with PRP/PRF, recovery typically lasts 1-2 days, with possible reddening of the skin but no peeling.
